- Der ISO (International Organization for Standardization)-Zweibuchstaben-Code
- entspricht der Codierung nach DIN EN 23166 / ISO 3166. Nachdem er sich im Devisengeschäft und bei der WIPO durchgesetzt hat, wird er auch von den VWD und TRANSPATENT neben der TT-Landeszahl ( TT-LZ ) verwandt.
- Die TRANSPATENT-Landeszahl (TT-LZ)
- ist das 1949 konzipierte und bis heute bewährte Landeszahlenschema des TRANSPATENT-Auslandsdienstes. Soweit keine TT-LZ vorliegt, liegen auch zumeist auch keine Informationen über den gewerblichen Rechtsschutz vor.
- Die Landesbezeichnung
- wurde überprüft an Hand des Länderverzeichnisses für den amtlichen Gebrauch in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, herausgegeben vom Auswärtigen Amt.
– Stand: Juli 2003 – (Zum besseren Auffinden der Länder durch Suchmaschinen wurden auch nichtamtliche, aber im Alltag gebräuchliche Bezeichnungen mit aufgeführt.)
